BOARD MEMBER RECRUITMENT |
|
Opportunity Neighborhood is looking for persons interested in volunteering to serve as board members. Our mission is to support people and strengthen neighborhoods within affordable housing communities through cooperative partnerships. This means providing a variety of onsite programs and services to low-income communities - early childhood education classes, after school programs, summer camps, safety services and weekly community building activities. These programs and services create safe and stable communities where children and families thrive. The requirements of serving on the board include: serving a 2-year term, attending board meetings, making an annual personal financial contribution and telling others about the organization and our mission. If you are interested in learning more, please contact: Perry Lofquist, Executive Director, at 612-805-1296 or perry@opportunityneighborhood.org. |

When residents know one other, everyone benefits. They begin to take ownership in their community and crime decreases. That is why Opportunity Neighborhood provides a wide variety of community events to residents. Whether it's holiday parties, neighborhood barbeques or movie nights. These events provide a format for residents to meet one other and build community.
