Park Promise
Park Promise is a year-round, out-of-school time program providing academic instruction to academically at-risk youth (K-9th grade) living at Eden Park, a large rental community in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
The Park Promise program is making headway by helping resident youth gain appropriate grade-level achievement. During the 2009-2010 school year, 100% of youth completing Park Promise demonstrated 6 months or more growth in reading and math skills and 100% of youth stated an increase in confidence of mastery of basic skills.
Park Promise offers out-of-school time services focused on academics and enrichment from 3:30 to 6:00 pm three days a week and supplemental learning activities on non-school days and through a 10-week summer day camp.
