Jim Maher, Board Chair
Jim Maher has a 38-year career in sales and marketing. He is the past president of Minnesota Diversified Industries, a non-profit company providing job opportunities for people with disabilities. Jim recently retired as Vice President and General Manager at Americraft Carton, Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
Pamela J. Safar, Treasurer
Pam has been involved in the multi-family housing business for over 30 years in the areas of due diligence, property management activities, investor relations, financial oversight, refinance and sale transactions, asset management, and oversight of human resources. Pam is a past Board Chair of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, past Vice President of the National Apartment Association, member of the National Multi-Housing Council, and is involved in many volunteer organizations. Currently, Pam provides asset management and project management work on a consulting basis, primarily for the Cornerstone Group.
Sue Willman, Secretary
Sue has extensive experience in business and healthcare management, with her most recent venture at OptumHealth, a United HealthGroup company, as a Senior Director of Disease Management. She has extensive experience leading and working with cross-functional work groups, and has received numerous leadership awards at Medtronic, including the Star of Excellence Award in 2004. With a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, Sue has extensive experience in business strategy, understanding market place factors related to healthcare products and services, and working with diverse stakeholders in the healthcare field.
John H. Curtiss, Board Member
John is President of the Community of Recovering People (CORP) Board of Directors and of The Retreat at Upland Farm. Prior to beginning his employment with CORP in April 1998, John was employed by the Hazelden Foundation for over 19 years. John holds a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration, is a graduate of Hazelden's Counselor Training Program, and is a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDCR).
Keith Bluford, Board Member
Keith has over 20 years experience in professional marketing and business development. He is currently the Managing Partner of Aequitas Financial, Inc; a mortgage brokerage firm. He is also the Managing Partner of Intellectual Dimensions, LLC, a professional services firm specializing in endpoint security, strategic, technical, operational, and automation consulting services for financial institutions. Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.
Susan R. Hooper, Board Member
Susan has over twenty years experience in teaching. She is employed as a Developmental/Adapted Physical Education Teacher with the Saint Paul Public Schools. Sue has received several teaching awards including the 2002 Outstanding Teacher Award from the Minnesota Council for Exceptional Children, the 2001 Professional of the Year Award from the Metro and South Suburban Association for Retarded Citizens, and the 2001 Special Educator of the Year Awardfrom the Saint Paul Public Schools. Sue is a founding board member of the Hamline University Alumni Association, and has her Masters in Education Certification from the Hamline University.
