Tom Schirber, Board Chair

Tom Schirber is a Fellow in the Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering Program at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Schirber's is working in the Advanced Building Systems and Residential Energy Efficiency area in the Cold Climate Housing Program. Mr. Schirber has previously worked for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation as a Community Housing Liaison Project Manager, as the Director of Operations at Ruth Meiers Hospitality House and as the Area Director at Young Life. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy from St. John's University. He also is an active member of Young Life and Urban Homeworks.


Keith Bluford, Treasurer

Keith has over 20 years experience in professional marketing and business development. He is currently the Managing Partner of Aequitas Financial, Inc., a mortgage brokerage firm. He is also the Managing Partner of Intellectual Dimensions, LLC, a professional services firm specializing in endpoint security, strategic, technical, operational, and automation consulting services for financial institutions.  Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.


Sue Willman, Secretary

Sue has a diverse 19 year career in healthcare, with her most recent venture at OptumHealth, a United HealthGroup company as Vice President of Wellness Products. Previous to this position, Ms. Willman worked on Case and Disease Management at Optum Health and was a Senior Principle Market Development Specialist for Medtronic. She has extensive experience leading and working with cross-functional work groups, and has received numerous leadership awards at Medtronic, including the Star of Excellence Award in 2004. Sue holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.


Officer Trevor Hamdorf

As the Crime Free Multi-Housing/Crime Prevention Officer in New Brighton, Officer Trevor Hamdorf has been instrumental in working to ensure 47 rental properties in New Brighton remain safe and stable places for families and children.  With over 13 years of law enforcement experience, Officer Hamdorf is a decorated officer earning 2004 and 2009 Police Officer of the Year, 2003 Traffic Officer of the Year,  2006 Commendation and 2004, 2008 and 2012 Lifesaving Awards.   In addition to his role as the CFMH Officer, Officer Hamdorf is a New Brighton Deputy Fire Chief.  He holds a Bachelors of Science in Political Science for Minnesota State University - Mankato and a Masters of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University.


Karl Spilseth

Karl Spilseth is a digital marketing communications professional at Medtronic. Karl has worked in marketing and sales for some of the Twin Cities' largest employers including Pentair, and Lawson Software (Now Infor). Karl holds a Master's in Marketing Communications from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor's of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College. Karl has previously volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and English as a Second Language Continuing Education programs in Bloomington.


Siyad Warsame

Siyad Warsame is the Founder and Executive Director of the Africa Reconciliation and Development Organization (ARDO), a non-profit in the Twin Cities specializing in cultural resolution among the African community.  Siyad holds an Associate's degree in Political Science from National America University in Bloomington, MN.  He also has a Public Relations degree from the United States International University Africa in Nairobi, Kenya and is currently pursuing a Master's in Conflict Resolution at the University of St. Thomas.
